Backgammon Rules AI Director started as a custom GPT that became so popular the client needed it as a standalone web application. The challenge was converting the conversational AI experience into a proper web app while maintaining the same helpful personality. Built with Next.js and a RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) architecture, the chatbot has access to a comprehensive knowledge base of backgammon rules, strategies, and tournament regulations. Users get instant answers to rule questions with a familiar ChatGPT style interface. The app handles edge cases that confuse even experienced players.
